Season's greetings folks. Is it all snowy where you are? Here in Bristol, there is no snow. Just cold.
Got some photos from the opening of the Fire Hose Gallery which happened a while ago. Drawing & Applied Arts were exhibiting in our space, and us in theirs. Their work had the honour of being the first in the gallery. More'll be installed in the new year.
There's some photos of work from some of the other courses which was also installed around the uni.

You're not Squash
We have been warmly welcomed by Trish Machin to attend our first Scottish dancing lesson in St. Monica's hall, Bristol from 7.30 - 10.00 p.m. No kilts are needed for the first lesson.
We are both looking forward to finding out who and what we are.
Dylan helped out Laura with the site, he enjoyed it.

Collectively we are joining a selection of activity based social groups, allowing us to meet new people, become part of a team and keep fit.

Olie Down / Dylan Up
Olie's website has gone down.
This is due to hosting service problems.
It is unfortunate for all concerned.
He will be back shortly.
Dylan has updated.
He has finally added colour to some text.
He is having withdrawals from the lack of grey.
New posters and things.

How
Monograph
Monograph is a monthly publication that gets sent out to subscribers of Creative Review. You can't get it in the shops I'm afraid, but if you can find a copy, it's worth a look this month.
Olie's grandfather made a magazine during world war two, while he was stationed on the front line. I'll try and get Olie to do an update about it, he knows a lot more than me on the subject.
However, I just wanted to let you know he's in Monograph this month, and I'm well proud of him.

DO TO DO
We have a really long To-Do list. We thought it would be great to letterpress it all. We started last week and haven't yet got around to printing it. It's all set in 10pt Universe. We had to stop and assess the situation when we ran out of lowercase 'e's. We'll update on it again when it gets out of traffic.

Weston-Super-Mare
We went to Weston-Super-Mare to see Steve. He cooked a wonderful Sunday roast and then we strolled along the sea front. Above is a photo I took of the Old Pier. The weather was brilliant and the sea was dramatic. I'll upload some more once I edit them.
I'm enjoying all the little days out we've been going on.
This is where I lost a lot of change.

Burnham-on-Sea
On Monday the 26th the third years went to Burnham-on-Sea for the afternoon.
We went along for the trip. I'd never been, but I'm sure I'd go again.
We had fish & chips and donuts. A bit of this and that. I kept my eye out for a suit.
Geting to Burnham:
Catch a train to Highbury and walk in the direction of the sea.

Sea Line
We went to Cardiff to help out our friend and colleague Jez. We drew a three mile line though the city to link the Bay with the University. It was quite a long day.
After the line was drawn, Jez took us to some beaches.
We went to find some dinosaur footprints.
Above is a footprint.
Somewhere.

The day was good, but very long. I hadn't had much sleep the night before and the walking line was a lot further than I thought it would be. Saying that though, it was good to help Jez out. He's got an exhibition in Cardiff very soon.
On another note, I'm setting up a new blog, Fine Young Fellows, for purely junior fellow related stuff. It'll be up sometime very soon.
Exhibition is at Cardiff university,
school of optometry and vision sciences.
